Cécile Verny Quartet - of Moons and Dreams

As a great singer, Cécile has what is called charisma, she is exuberant and thoughtful, cheerful and vulnerable at the same time. The band with Andreas Erchinger on piano and keyboards, Bernd Heitzler on various basses and Lars Binder on drums acts with nonchalance, understatement and coolness. They provide an elastic pulse, crisp grooves or, if required, delicate splashes of color. The musicians offer passages in which they really play freely and where they repeatedly show what accomplished artists and masters of their craft they are. Yet they never lose sight of their common goal: to create the most perfect tapestry of sound possible on which Cécile Verny's sensual, erotic, wicked, angry or sometimes very gentle voice can unfold to its full potential. And because this band has now reached a level at which this seems to work by itself, everyone who expects music that meets the highest standards, yet is easy on the ear and sticks in the memory, will really get their money's worth. Beware of addiction!
