Welcome to the Copa Colonia! Here you can expect casually decelerated bossa nova with a dash of cool jazz, smooth beats and a beguiling voice that envelops you in a tantalizingly warm atmosphere. The "Girl from Colonia" is Susanne Riemer. Susanne writes the lyrics, composes, sings and plays the trumpet, while her congenial partner Wilhelm Geschwind scurries around her on the guitar. You could call their style "far removed from fashion" - and that's an award!" The jury of the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" also thought so: the three CDs (UNVERPACKT 2023, BROT UND SEELE 2021, TON IN TON 2020) were nominated for the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" in the "Liedermacher" category.
