The Hanover Christmas Garden: a magical journey into glowing worlds!

The Christmas Garden Hannover has many varied highlights and a newly designed circular trail through the Adventure Zoo in store for the coming season. From 20 November 2025 to 4 January 2026 , more than 30 light installations can be experienced along the two-kilometer trail.

When designing the Christmas Garden Hannover , the creative team at Christmas Garden Deutschland GmbH fulfilled the many requests of guests to incorporate lavish Christmas magic into the light art and the design of the trail. The result of the fifth edition of the Christmas Garden Hannover is a diverse mix of popular classics, new highlights created especially for Hannover and numerous atmospheric Christmas impressions.

This is what guests can expect in the 5th season of the Christmas Garden Hannover:

The magical journey in the Christmas Garden Hannover begins behind a golden gate and promises colorful wonders of light with an extra portion of Christmas happiness. After the first sparkling impressions and selfies as a glittering angel, the dream journey awaits guests with a music-synchronized video mapping in which a parade of life-size animals meets the audience. Accompanied by mysterious points of light, the search for traces follows, a highlight staged exclusively for the Christmas Garden Hannover : in an elaborate video projection on the lion enclosure, animal tracks can be discovered in the dense jungle, lizards scurry past and shadow images reveal the animal inhabitants.

On a winter trail with glistening ice crystals, radiant ice flowers and a shimmering blue frosty sky , guests get in the mood for a visit to wintry Alaska and soon reach Yukon Bay, which has been transformed into a romantic Christmas backdrop with the title Merry Christmas! The festive focal point is an opulently decorated eight-metre-high Christmas tree, flanked by colorful presents, stars, red bows and Christmas decorations. The warming fire bowls and Christmas music provide an opportunity to enjoy a glass of mulled wine or punch in a romantic atmosphere.

The Jungle Fever, an artistic projection on the façade of the Jungle Palace, is also a great place to linger in the gastronomic Christmas village with sweet or savory snacks and personal wishes can be placed in the Wishing Tree.

can be placed in the Wishing Tree . Guests can experience moments of poetry at the Dream Lights, where differently colored balls of light spread across a meadow light up in sync with the music. This is accompanied by a poem written for the Christmas Garden Hannover with the closing words: "Every dream is a little light, / conjures a smile on your face", emphasizing the artistic essence of the Christmas Garden Hannover . Visitors continue through five colorful crescents surrounded by mystical fog before the star ballet appears: A spectacular light choreography of thousands of points of light appears across 800 square meters, synchronously programmed to music, which also incorporates twelve twinkling stars floating in the trees.

With a final colorful audiovisual highlight, the rainbow world with its dancing light steles, and with unforgettable experiences, the Christmas Garden Hannover bids farewell to its guests after countless unforgettable moments.

The Christmas Garden Hannover is closed on November 24 & 25, 2025, on December 1 & 2 and on December 24 & 31, 2025.
