chucuXchucu is back in town - DE VUELTA.

After several months in Colombia, we're back in Munich. Weeks full of encounters, studio sessions, long nights on the dancefloor and countless concerts are behind us. We met artists, discovered new sounds and found records in markets and on dusty shelves that we couldn't let go of - our suitcases now filled to the brim with LPs that are ready to be played.

DE VUELTA marks our first event of 2026 -a collaboration between AlterLatinX and chucuchucu - and the beginning of a new series.

Somewhere between concert, club night and coming together. Not just listening, but dancing, sharing, being together.

Musically, we bring what stayed with us over the past months: Salsa, Cumbia, Vallenato and Merengue, drum traditions from Palenque, Bullerengue from the Caribbean coast and Currulao from the Pacific, Gaita and Porro from San Jacinto, Tropicanibalismo, Electrocumbia and Afrohouse from Bogotá - and of course: a lot of chucu chucu.

Plus: Viche drinks, empanadas and spring feelings.

Jimena Angel (CO)

In the mountains of the Magdalena region, where the jungle meets the Caribbean Sea, the climate is tropical: sun, heat, clouds, rain - sun, heat, clouds, rain. This cycle has shaped the rhythm of Jimena Angel's life.

Her music carries this movement within it. As a singer, composer, producer, guitarist and DJ, she brings together different influences into a distinctive sound - an explosive Electro-Afro-Caribbean cocktail, ignited by a singer with a strong temperament.

Jimena Angel, originally from Bogotá, creates music that feels alive: warm, rhythmic and full of depth. Her recent work - especially the new album "Aguacero " - reflects transformation, cycles and personal as well as musical evolution. For us, it became part of the soundtrack of our time in Colombia.

We first saw Jimena live at Import Export in 2024 - and danced through the night. We're very happy to welcome her back to Munich for DE VUELTA.

Superzona - mrReed

As musicians, curators of chucuXchucu and DJs - Superzona and mrReed - we feel most at home somewhere between club and concert: in that space where different musical worlds can meet, driven by rhythm, tension and unexpected transitions.

Our sets grow out of what has been surrounding us over the past months - between Bogotá, Ocaña, the Caribbean coast and the dancefloor.

Musically, we move from Tropinostalgia and classic chucu chucu to dubby Electrocumbia, Neo Perreo, Afrohouse and Oscuro Tropical.

Our record bags are the starting point - but never the limit.

After these past months in Colombia, we return with new influences, new connections and a widened perspective.

DE VUELTA is both an ending and the beginning of a journey.

After several months in Colombia, we are back in Munich. Weeks full of encounters, studio sessions, dancing the night away and countless concerts lie behind us. We've met artists, discovered new sounds and found records at markets and on dusty shelves that won't let us go - our suitcases stuffed to the brim with LPs that are just dying to be played.

DE VUELTA is our first event of 2026 - a collaboration between the AlterLatinX and chucuchucu collectives - and the start of a new series.

Somewhere between concert, club night and get-together. Not just listening, but dancing, sharing, being together.
We'll see each other again at the Pista.

Musically, we'll be bringing everything that has accompanied us over the last few months: salsa, cumbia, vallenato and merengue, drumming traditions from Palenque, bullerengue from the Caribbean and currulao from the Pacific coast, gaita and porro from San Jacinto, plus tropicanibalismo, electrocumbia and afrohouse from Bogotá - and of course: a bunch of chucu chucu.

Plus: viche drinks, empanadas and spring fever.

Superzona - mrReed

As musicians and curators of chucuXchucu, we feel most comfortable under our DJ aliases - Superzona and mrReed - somewhere between club and concert: where we combine musical worlds with a focus on strong rhythms and excitement. Always with breaks and unconventional transitions.

Our sets are created from what has accompanied us over the last few months - between Bogotá, Ocaña, the Caribbean coast and the dancefloor.

Musically, we move from tropinostalgia and classic chucu chucu to dubby electrocumbia, neo perreo, afrohouse and oscuro tropical.

Our record cases are the starting point - but never the end.

After the last few months in Colombia, we are returning with new influences, new connections and a broader musical perspective.

For us, DE VUELTA is both the end and the beginning of a journey.
