Cling Film (Fusion/Avantgarde):
Philipp Martin - electric bass;
Felix Hauptmann - electric piano, synth;
Max Stadtfeld - drums, comp.
Cling Film is an ensemble of musicians that Max Stadtfeld has wanted to bring together for a long time. Felix Hauptmann is one of the most renowned young pianists of the contemporary music scene, especially his bands "Percussion" and "Serpentine" have been getting a lot of attention lately.
Philipp Martin recently released an album with his quintet "Hypochrondrische Ängste", which questions the tried and tested formula of text + music = song to the extreme. As a sideman, he has played with Frank Möbus, Oli Steidle, Christian Weidner and the band "Glotze".
The aim of Cling Film is to mix sounds from contemporary classical music of the 20th century with electronic sounds. As an example, the music of Iannis Xenakis and Allan Holdsworth could be juxtaposed.
