Brazil has produced many legendary musicians in its pop history. The special thing about Música Popular Brasileira has always been to connect artists and fans of all generations and thus constantly evolve. It should therefore come as no surprise that the young singer and multi-instrumentalist Zé Ibarra has accompanied MPB icons such as Milton Nascimento and Seu Jorge on tour, while developing his own style between classical influences of Brazilian music and contemporary experiments. Together with Julia Mestre, Dora Morelenbaum and Lucas Nunes, he founded the collective Bala Desejo in 2020, whose debut album was promptly awarded a Latin Grammy and catapulted the band to the forefront of an exciting new generation of Brazilian pop musicians. On his solo album "AFIM", released last year, Zé Ibarra combines the various facets of his musical personality to create a new image: sensual, open and full of expressiveness. The spectrum ranges from intimate singer-songwriter excursions to dense arrangements between MPB, jazz and pop, with which Zé Ibarra is now embarking on his first European tour.
