COBRA radio play workshop goes COBRA theater workshop

Following the successful youth project 2025 "Radio Play Workshop", in which nine children wrote, produced and publicly presented their own radio play, the project is entering the next round. Building on previous experiences, the resulting radio play will be further developed and turned into a play.

Together with the children involved and other interested children, a new theater and stage radio play project will be created. Under the guidance of a theater pedagogue, the participants work on acting, voice, movement and staging, including set construction. The project concludes with a public presentation or performance on the large Cobra stage as well as possible guest appearances, e.g. at schools.

A special focus is placed on the combination of theater and radio play: individual radio play sequences are rehearsed at original locations (in the Cobra) - similar to the shooting of a film. This creates an acoustically independent, cinematically conceived approach that deliberately sets itself apart from classic theater-studio productions. The final results are performed live, and a small tour with guest appearances in schools, youth centers, etc. is also conceivable.

The project specifically promotes children's media and expression skills and also demonstrates the diverse creative possibilities of digital and manual tools beyond mere media consumption. At the same time, it is a project that brings pupils together, in which the experiences, ideas and realities of life of children from different backgrounds play a central role and are actively incorporated into the artistic process.
