THE MEMORIES
The Solingen beat and oldies band "The Memories" can justifiably call itself a rarity - after all, it is the oldest Solingen band of its kind still active. The name "Memories" has been known in the city and beyond for almost half a century. And: it says it all, because the music of the "Memories" evokes memories in the audience - of great bands and singers of the 60s and 70s, but also of personal experiences in the good old "wild" days. So it is not surprising that many listeners not only dance enthusiastically to the live hits of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones or Creedence Clearwater Revival, but also sing along at the top of their lungs.

The heart of the band then as now: founding member Eddie Höhne. He has steered the band's fortunes for over 45 years and, together with Ron Laas (lead vocals) and others, has currently gathered an ambitious line-up around him, which revives the motto of "Memories" with fresh ideas: "...and the beat goes on".
