a lecture performance on the idea of intellectual property

Do we own our artistic ideas and where do they come from? The use of artificial intelligence, NFTs and the enormous pressure of a digital music market require us to rethink our understanding of copyright and intellectual property. The lecture performance looks at the most radical developments of recent years and looks at selected projects that pursue alternative approaches.

The three performers make their own working process transparent in the piece and implement as many of the discussed working methods as possible live. The text and musical material develop from quotations, samples and appropriations of available music and texts and are supplemented by the use of generative algorithms and new productions.
