Magical hands-on days and concerts Süduferchor & Coro CantAmérica

The E-WERK parking lot is transformed: where there are usually cars, we are building a magical place full of music, movement, art and creativity. Together with many cooperation partners, the Süduferchor invites you to a colorful, intergenerational weekend. Look forward to crafts, reading, dancing, singing, concerts and workshops, cooking and eating - all free of charge and for everyone.

The program will be designed together with a jury of choir members - people who support and shape the Süduferchor. The choir was founded in 2016 for people with and without migration or refugee experience who want to experience and create a musical space of encounter together. In its three-year series KLANGKOMPLIZ:INNENSCHAFTEN, the Süduferchor is networking even more closely with urban society - in Stühlinger, Haslach and elsewhere.

This creates new sound connections between neighborhoods, homelands, generations and realities of life. The first event in 2024 was the double choir concert GESÄNGE VIELER WELTEN with the SOM DO BRASIL choir. In 2025, we formed a children's choir together with Kulturplattform Freiburg and organized our first participatory day at E-WERK.

This year, we are joining forces with CantAmérica, a Freiburg-based choir for Latin American music, in which people of all generations celebrate the diversity of Spanish-language music from Latin America.

An event as part of CORDIALE 2026.

Since 2018, the CORDIALE has taken place at E-WERK every year at the beginning of October. It is a format in which a jury of people with and without multiple affiliations or migration experience puts together the program.

This year we are rethinking CORDIALE. E-WERK and the SÜDUFERCHOR, which was formed around E-WERK, are working more closely together and the jury will be made up of people from the SÜDUFERCHOR community. Together we are breaking up the festival period and anchoring transculture and participation in the E-WERK program throughout the year. LIED FÜR LIED 2 is the first of many events taking place in this year's CORDIALE.
