COVENANT

In the organizer's words:

These are confusing times, in the twilight of humanity. Covenant want to tell stories and sing about how they feel. In a world that no longer makes sense, you have to learn to see in the dark. Covenant is a triumphant embrace of the strength and resilience of the soul. It is the dystopian, unforgiving song of the shadows that all carry with them, and as beautiful as a collapsed star.

On April 26, 1986, on the eve of the Chernobyl disaster, Covenant were formed after being dazzled by Front 242 in Malmö at the legendary venue Stadt Hamburg. The aggressive beats and uncompromising attitude, mixed with the pop flair of their new song "Don't Crash", left a deep impression and only five months later Clas, Eskil and Joakim had their first gig with their own songs. Since then, the band has performed in 42 countries on six continents and released over 120 songs.

In 2026, the band would like to look back on these years and invites you to celebrate 40 years of "pop with rough edges". In a series of extended concerts lasting two and a half hours, the band will play songs from each album, with the setlist chosen by the fans. Founding members Joakim Montelius and Eskil Simonsson are currently working on a new album.
