Zac Beaulieu was born on Christmas Eve 1960 in Québec. Despite his four brothers, he is immediately dad's favorite and his mother is also blessed with a special gift. But dad's favorite doesn't quite turn out the way the patriarch of the family wants. As Zac becomes a teenager and has his first experiences with drugs, sex and love, contact with his parents, who are strongly influenced by the Catholic Church, becomes increasingly difficult. Zac takes refuge in his music. The songs of Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones and David Bowie become his constant companions. When Zac's father finally realizes that his son is homosexual, a rift develops in the family that can no longer be patched up...
Zachary Beaulieu naît le jour de Noël 1960. Cela laisse présager un avenir prometteur pour le quatrième fils de cette famille, dans un Québec où la religion occupe une grande place. À l'adolescence, Zack is confronted with numerous questions about his sexual identity and the intense desire he has to please a father he adores, but of whom homophobia is only just dissimulated. Salué par la critique, C.R.A.Z.Y. a rencontré un très grand succès tant au Canada qu'à l'étranger.
