Creepy Crypt: Crash (OmU)

Not many films by David Cronenberg have been shown in the Creepy Crypt. But his film rights are also difficult to obtain. So of course we are all the more pleased to be able to present "Crash" to you on May 2 to mark its 30th anniversary.

James (James Spader) and Catherine Ballard (Deborah Kara Unger) are a married couple who are estranged from each other. They both have extramarital affairs, which they live out openly and reveal to each other in detail. One day, James has a car accident in which he collides with an oncoming car. The driver of the other car dies immediately, but the passenger is taken to the same hospital as Ballard. At the hospital, a man named Vaughan (Elias Koteas) comes to James to take a picture of his injured leg. James learns that the passenger from the other car is also in the same hospital, the two get to know each other - and start an intense affair after their release, driven by their shared experience of the accident. They become real accident fetishists and spend more time with the mysterious Vaughan.
