Daniel Migliosi has presented a convincing calling card with his first album. But it is even more impressive to experience this young jazz trumpeter live. At the festival, our long-standing host General Reinsurance AG is offering him the stage and thus giving the audience the opportunity to experience his musical diversity.

Daniel began playing the classical trumpet at the Conservatory of Esch/Alzette (Luxembourg) and had the opportunity to play in orchestras such as the "Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL)" and the Luxembourg Military Band. During this time, Daniel won several prizes. He took his first steps in jazz in the class of Prof. Marc Harles. He completed his classical studies in 2022 in the class of Prof. Michel Berns and Prof. Guy Conter.

At the age of 16, he began studying at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Prof. Andy Haderer and Matthias Bergmann. Since 2021 he is one of the four young musicians of the "WDR Composers Fellowship" under mentor Florian Ross and works regularly with the WDR Big Band. In 2022 he released his debut album "Left On Scene" on the label "Mons Records". Daniel has been a member of the "Orchestre National de Jazz France" and the "JugendJazzOrchester NRW" since 2022, and a member of the "BundesJazzOrchester" since 2023.
