David Grubbs, Jules Reidy and Jan St. Werner

This unique trio brings together three renowned musicians from different areas of the experimental and avant-garde music scene to explore new worlds of sound through live improvisation, guitar textures and electronic manipulation.

David Grubbs, distinguished professor of music, has a distinguished career in both academia and the music industry. A founding member of seminal post-rock bands such as Bastro, Squirrel Bait , and Gastr Del Sol (with Jim O'Rourke), he has authored several books and released fifteen solo albums that can be heard on over 200 releases. Grubbs' musical contribution extends beyond his solo work to include collaborations with various poets, visual artists and musicians. His work has been recognized and presented in prestigious institutions such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and MoMA.

Jules Reidy is known for music that combines processed and acoustic instruments, with a focus on guitars. His recordings are characterized by unconventional song forms and explore harmonic, rhythmic and narrative elements. Reidy's performances have been presented at international festivals, demonstrating their versatility and innovative approach to music composition and performance. Their latest album, Ghost/Spirit, was released earlier this year on Thrill Jockey.

Jan St. Werner, co-founder of the experimental music group Mouse on Mars, has an extensive background in music and sound art. He has collaborated with various artists and has been part of influential music collectives. In addition to his involvement in music production and installations, Werner is also involved in academia and teaches at institutions such as MIT and AdBK Nuremberg. His works have been presented at major cultural venues and exhibitions, highlighting his influence on the contemporary music and art scene.
