What happens to those who are too weak to flee during the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine, who takes care of the dead, salvages, identifies, loads and transfers their bodies? In the shadow of the front line, a silent infrastructure of care is maintained, supported by humanity, perseverance and the attempt to maintain order in the midst of a state of emergency. Overcrowded trains bring the sick and elderly to temporary shelters, while other volunteers transport the fallen in trucks to their families. Relatives wait for news and certainty, mothers and their children spend nights at train stations between improvised meals and uncertain timetables, hoping to escape into exile.
