Our MakerSpace for children and families: creating something new from something old
What actually happens when you don't repair things - but deliberately take them apart?
At the DeKonstruktions-Café, we explore precisely this question: Together, we take apart old, broken or unused everyday objects, look at their components and use them to develop new ideas, functions and objects.
The special thing about it: All participants bring their own object that matches the theme. Whether toys, bags, small pieces of furniture or electrical appliances - everything is welcome. Together we screw, cut, solder, combine and rethink. Experts from various fields provide support with know-how, tools and creative impulses.
The format is particularly aimed at families and intergenerational work. Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied, from the age of 10, independent participation is possible. The focus is on curiosity, experimentation and the joy of taking things into your own hands.
In addition to the practical work, there is space for exchange, reflection and new perspectives on our use of resources. The DeKonstruktions-Café sees itself as a creative response to the throwaway society - and as an invitation to experience self-efficacy, sustainability and design in a new way.
Each session is accompanied by a small, open café with soup, homemade cake, espresso and colorful children's cocktails (on a donation basis, cash payment only).
The workshop is also surrounded by greenery - perfect for taking a deep breath, being outside and engaging in conversation.
Participation on a donation basis (only cash payment on site)
