The lecture by forestry engineer and author Christoph Michels entitled "Our park trees between climate stress and monument protection" examines the importance of tree populations in historic parks as part of a cultural heritage and also looks at the Hügel Park. Against the backdrop of climate change and new ecological challenges, Michels examines cultural-historical and monument protection perspectives in order to approach the question of how historic parks with their identities characterized by old tree populations can be preserved for the future.
