The magician Mr. Drosselmeier has to rescue his nephew. Hans-Peter has been turned into a nutcracker. He can only be saved if the Nutcracker defeats the Mouse King and finds a girl who loves and cares for him. One glimmer of hope is the young Clara, whom Drosselmeier meets at a Christmas party. With the help of a pinch of magic, a cozy Christmas get-together turns into a wonderful adventure. Peter Wright's The Nutcracker has enchanted audiences since its Royal Ballet premiere in 1984.
