A man builds a life out of trade, courage and vision.
He travels through Europe, combines cultures, accumulates wealth - and yet
and yet searches for something that will last.

500 years later, his story becomes audible - in music
in music that crosses borders,
in languages that meet,
in voices that ask instead of answer.

Old songs from Germany and Poland resound alongside new texts.
Past and present merge.
An actress wanders between the times,
asks questions, reflects thoughts, opens up spaces.

A resonating space is created between then and now:
for doubt, for new beginnings, for responsibility.
