Northern Germany's most creative event is returning to the state capital for thesecond year: DesignWerke will take place for the second time at the Künstlerhaus on May 30 and 31, 2026 - right in the heart of Hanover. For the second time, the popular festival for design, art, fashion, music, cuisine and culture will take place in the traditional Künstlerhaus between the main railway station and the opera house. "With the Künstlerhaus, we have finally found the perfect location for DesignWerke," says organizer Sandra Strüber, who has been organizing the event since 2016. Originally held on the site of the former Eilers Werke in the Ledeburg district, the format later moved to Braunschweig - now it is finally returning to where it all began: Hanover.70 exhibitors showcase their products and servicesDesignWerkepresents around 70 regional and international exhibitors in the indoor and outdoor areas of the Künstlerhaus. This platform places particular emphasis on handmade individual pieces and small series; sustainable, recycled or upcycled products take priority.Established and up-and-coming creative labels offer their products in the areas of fashion, art, jewelry, home textiles, illustrations and luxury foods - from accessories, graphics and handicrafts to cosmetics and delicatessen. "We have selected the exhibitors true to the guiding principle of a good life with a focus on regionality, organic quality and conscious design," says Sandra Strüber. Several food trucks offer culinary delights.live tattoos & workshopsA specialhighlight are the live tattoo sessions, where visitors can have small, individual motifs engraved by tattoo artists directly on site - spontaneous, professional and with festival charm. DesignWerke also offers various workshops for anyone who wants to get creative themselves. Whether you want to spontaneously tie a wreath of flowers, paint porcelain or take part in a Terazzo workshop is up to you. The hands-on program is varied and also suitable for children. There will be a colorful Portpouri children's face painting etc...Musical supporting programThefestival will be accompanied by a disc jockey team around the well-known DJ Daniel Ortega, a veteran of the Hanover club scene with an international reputation. He plays relaxed but danceable beats between the designer stands - for the "ultimate kick", but without dominating the shopping experience.
