Diamond Dog (FRA)

An obvious homage to David Bowie forms the starting point for a soulful artistic reflection that reflects emotional anguish as well as references to pop culture. Diamond Dog's dystopian vision of punk and poetry first took shape in 2020 and was fully formed in 2021. The lyrics and performance of the songs gain their identity from references to the roots of New Wave in the late 70s. Accordingly, the band offers rhythmic, danceable music with synthetic melodies and concise choruses. The foursome from Dijon in France is led by an expressive lead singer and offers a dazzling stage show somewhere between the fury of the Cramps, the romanticism of Liszt, the poetry of Kipling and the cinema of David Lynch. The band's first album, entitled "Usual Chronicles", was released in March 2023 on the labels EMB Blanc Records in Germany and Wave Records in Brazil.
