In the organizer's words:

The Comedy Werkstatt is coming to Recklinghausen again! Here, well-known comedians and very young newcomers can test their new gags. Comedy is a craft and therefore needs a place where it can be tried out. Up to 8 artists can test for 7 minutes how funny their new ideas really are.
The Comedy Werkstatt is more than just an open mic series, it's a springboard for new comedy talent across Germany. Our goal: to give people a stage and a voice. We accompany artists from their first steps on the open mic stage to their own solo program.
