Die Geste Ausgabe 5

In the organizer's words:

We cordially invite you to the presentation of the 5th edition of Die Geste on May 13, 7.30 pm at veränderbar: reading with Volker Sielaff, Jayne-Ann Igel and Johanna Schwedes, plus an exhibition of original calligraphies by Silvio Colditz.

As a printed edition of the calligraphic library of poetry, Die Geste is a unique literary magazine in which all the printed poems have also been interpreted using calligraphy. The current issue comprises 108 pages in DIN A4 format with 49 calligraphically interpreted poems by 30 authors, price: €15, ISSN 2751-8841 Edited and calligraphed by silvio colditz.

Jayne-Ann Igel was born in Leipzig in 1954 and has lived in Dresden since 1995. She completed an apprenticeship in the field of academic libraries in Leipzig. She has been a freelance writer since 1988 and has also worked as an editor and publisher since the 1990s. most recently: wolken hinterm rollo, GutleutVerlag, 2024.

Johanna Schwedes, born in Frankfurt am Main, studied literary writing in Leipzig, lives and works in Leipzig. Publications: Den Mond unterm Arm, Reinecke & Voß, Leipzig, 2010 and Der Asphalt klingelt, ich geh ran, published by the same publisher, as well as in magazines and anthologies.

Volker Sielaff is a writer and publicist living in Dresden. He received the Lessing Prize in 2007, the honorary award of the German Schiller Foundation for his literary work in 2015 and the London Scholarship of the German Literature Fund in 2022. Questions to the Yeti was published by AZUR in 2026.
