Die lange Nacht der Musik von Zuhause

In the organizer's words:

What does music from home sound like? Following on from the world premiere of Sara Glojnarić's opera Station Paradiso, the musicians of the Staatsorchester Stuttgart will explore this question in a variety of ways during the Long Night: Various ensembles will perform works by Caroline Shaw, Bohuslav Martinů and Leonard Bernstein, among others, in the exhibitions at the Württemberg State Museum, the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg and the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart. Music from Romania and songs from Georgia meet sounds from Latin America and the USA. In an interactive world premiere by Mert Moralı, former fellow of Akademie Schloss Solitude, the movements of the audience become music.

At the end of this journey through different musical worlds, DJ AfroPunk will play chilled beats at the Württembergischer Kunstverein. Dancing into May is explicitly encouraged!
