Recently, the trend has been towards the great novel. Nino Haratischwilli's "The Seventh Life", Anne Berest's "The Postcard" and many Anglophone novels not only depict a family's private stories, but also link them to historical events. There are also many such novels in Ukrainian literature. The expert and Slavicist Dr. Sophia Manns-Süßbrich in conversation with the literary scholar Dr. Alexander Kratochvil about the global networking of postmodern Ukrainian literature and its significance for strengthening Ukrainian cultural identity.

The discussion is intended to encourage people to engage with this exciting Ukrainian literature. It will be held in German.
