Digitale Release-Strategien – Dein Release. Dein Plan. Dein Tempo.

In the organizer's words:

This workshop is aimed exclusively at FLINTA* people.
Lecturer: Johanna Bauhus (Ladies & Ladies Label)

How do you release music without getting lost in algorithms, timelines and to-dos? In this workshop with Johanna Bauhus, you will gain the knowledge and tools to realize your releases independently, structured and effectively - with a focus on digital channels, DIY approaches and feasible strategies.

Together, we will look at how a release can be realistically planned - regardless of the genre, budget or team behind it. It's not about the next big buzzword, but about specific questions such as:

- Which release form suits your project - single, EP or album?

- How do you develop a schedule that fits into your life and doesn't overwhelm you?

- Which platforms and tools are useful - and what can you safely ignore?

- How does playlist pitching really work? And what role does social media play today (and how do you keep your energy)?

- What does a release cost - and where are unnecessary expenses lurking?

- What digital distribution options are there - and how do you choose the right one?

In the second part, you will put what you have learned directly into practice: you will develop your own release plan - for a current project or a fictitious release. You can get feedback, ask questions and think through your next steps.

Feel free to bring your own material - whether it's initial song ideas, finished tracks, cover designs or video/content concepts. This way you can inspire each other, share examples and work directly on your projects.

The workshop provides an overview of digital release channels and current DIY promo strategies, offers practical tools for your own release planning and strengthens self-determination and decision-making skills throughout the entire release process.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Max. Participants: 12

Johanna Bauhus (she/he) is a label maker, musician and tireless advocate for structural change in the music industry. With her queerfeminist label Ladies & Ladys - the first officially sexist music label in the world - she turns common structures upside down and creates visibility for FLINTA* artists. She achieved a great deal of media coverage with the "Cock Am Ring" project, with which she ensured more diversity on festival line-ups. As co-founder of "Safe the Dance", she develops awareness standards for major events such as the DEICHBRAND Festival. Most recently, she made a foray into soccer and wrote the awareness concept for the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 in Switzerland - and successfully implemented it. She plays bass on "Wenn einer lügt, dann wir" and also writes lyrics.
