Domenique Dumont is a pseudonym for the collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and producer Arturs Liepins, singer and ethnomusicologist Anete Stuce and possibly an artist from France, whose existence has neither been confirmed nor denied. The band hails from a small country on the Baltic coast in northern Europe and has gained popularity and caused a stir not only in their home country but also worldwide, especially in French-speaking countries. Domenique Dumont's music is not easy to categorize, but as soon as the song begins, there is a sense of familiarity, classicism and austerity in her direction. Built on a foundation of lilting sambas, bossa nova undertones and cinematic, experimental pop, the Latvian duo's project is a heartfelt modernization of breezy dreaminess in a style all their own.

The band has released three albums since 2013. The latest - "People On Sunday" (2020) - is Domenique Dumont's third album. It has just been signed to The Leaf label and follows two albums previously released by Parisian electronic/dance label Antinote. It follows on from the cult success of the synth-pop exotica albums "Comme Ça" (2015) and "Miniatures de Auto Rhythm" (2018). "People On Sunday" was originally conceived as the soundtrack to the 1930 German silent film classic known by various titles, including "Menschen am Sonntag". It was originally performed at Les Arcs Film Festival in December 2019, as a joint commission from Les Arcs Film Festival.

The duo are currently finalizing their fourth studio album "Deux Paradis".
