With her debut EP "FEAST", Berlin-born and Cologne-based singer and composer Donya Solaimani presents how the diverse musical influences of her life come together to create her very own sound. In this self-confident musical statement, she fuses influences from minimal music, jazz and pop with traditional Iranian music and poetry to create a deeply personal and at the same time very accessible world of sound. Songs such as "Chahar Pareh" or "My Brain Is Slow (But My Bike Is Fast)" testify to Solaimani's musicality across geographical and stylistic boundaries. An extraordinary debut from a singer we will be hearing a lot more of.
