Three chords. An uprising - FLINTA* in the spotlight!
Queer perspectives have never been a side note in punk, but a disruptive signal in the best sense: as a radical counterculture, punk subverts heteronormative, capitalist and right-wing fantasies of order in equal measure - with DIY ethos, body politics and collective loudness instead of conformity, profit logic and exclusion.
We talk about resistance, anger, empowerment, failure, glitter in the mosh pit and why punk is still here, as a community, as an art form, as a way of life - and about why "too loud" is just right right now.
On the panel:
Bianca Kollinger, Ilka Kaufmann, Mariell Sterra, students of the Punk Academy and Dr. Reyhan Şahin aka Lady Bitch Ray.
And then? No more talking:
The Punkakademie freshmen play live. For real. Loud. Without a safety net.
Clear the stage for FLINTA*! Riiioooooot!
In cooperation with the Stadtensemble am Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Queer-Beauftragung der Stadt Mannheim.
Free admission.
Please note: Live music will be played and it will be very loud in the room.
