"Doctor's Orders" was the first album by the current band line-up, back then, 40 years ago, with founding member Lee Brilleaux on vocals. The cult band Dr. Feelgood is and remains a phenomenon. Anyone who sees the band in concert today will inevitably come into contact with the raw, uncompromising live energy that made them one of the world's best-known and most exciting live bands of the emerging British pub rock scene in the seventies. "Razor-sharp chunk of R'n'B" is how Classic Rock magazine described the style they developed at the time, which combined the soul of black music, especially the blues, with the snottiness of the emerging punk movement.
