Ducky. T [Concert]- Hide & Seen: queer asian festival

Ducky T. probably fell into the creative potion once as a child. Artistically, the multi-instrumentalist is constantly reinventing herself between poetry, dance and music, always looking for inspiration in her community and family history.

In the current EP "Primetime", Ducky frees herself from hasty obedience to the music industry, reflects on growing up as a child of Vietnamese immigrants and empathizes with the feeling of queer solidarity in numbing times. The lyrics are radically honest, aesthetically striking and wrapped in beautiful harmonies.

Ducky T. aims to write radically honest, meaningful and aesthetically striking lyrics. He deliberately sharpens the harshness of the German language in order to fuse it with his gentle, bright voice into a unique unity. Growing up as a German-Vietnamese among the rural population of the southern Palatinate drove him into the arms of art at an early age; acting and learning various musical instruments (violin, piano, flute, guitar) shaped his life. Regular appearances at poetry slams are reflected in his songwriting, while the sounds of the dance school he attends create cross-genre inspiration.

In 2023, he released his first EP "Dehydrated" together with producer NONI (Blumengarten, Goldroger), the independent release reached over 300,000 streams and was featured on various editorial playlists such as Wilde Herzen, New Music Friday Deutschland and Deutscher Indie.

In 2024, Ducky T. reinvented himself with producer darlin nicky (kimbra, uche yara), venturing into the themes of his childhood, growing up as a person of color and the ambivalent relationship with his parents. The Osmose from Expressive E and the Roland Vg-8 characterize the current work process of the two.
