Echoes - ein paralleler Soundwalk zwischen Köln und Istanbul

In the organizer's words:

We walk - for 60 minutes - through the city.

We stop, listen, make connections: to our counterparts, to the here and now and into the distance.

"ECHOES" starts with the seemingly simple phenomenon of echoes and means more: memories, traces, repetitions and resonance spaces for collective and individual stories:

Which voices go unheard?
Which ones are amplified?
Which narratives shape our reality - and whose stories are missing?

Echoes does not look for superficial similarities between two places. Instead, common ground is created in difference - in shared time, in sound, in moments of listening. Voices, compositions, performative and installative elements interweave the everyday with the political and open up new perspectives on the city, perception and society. An interdisciplinary team of artists is developing an installative-performative audio walk that will take place simultaneously in Cologne and Istanbul.

• The audio walk will take place outdoors.
• Small steps and uneven paths must be overcome.
• Participation is only possible while moving; a seated visit is unfortunately not possible.
• Please remember to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
