Oriental Echo invites you on a musical journey of discovery into the spiritual soundscape of the Middle East. The focus is on Christian hymns that combine traditional songs with contemporary interpretations. The repertoire ranges from early sacred melodies to songs of the 20th and 21st centuries and draws on the diversity of Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant traditions. The songs are mainly sung in Arabic, occasionally also in Aramaic. A meditative, open style and improvisational freedom give the music space and depth. The Marathon concert thus becomes a unique moment of reflection and inner contemplation.

Early sacred chants and traditional songs from the Christian Middle East, contemporary works by Zaki Nassif, Hany Romany and Rita William as well as traditional hymns in Arabic, Chaldean and Aramaic.

In collaboration with the Altaan Cultural Association Cologne.

Individual concert of the zamus: early music marathons with four short concerts and a dance ball.
