With the new Ehrenfeld Discussion Series - Society, the Mosque Forum is opening up a space for well-founded, controversial exchange at the interface of religion and society. Each issue brings together academic, religious and civil society perspectives - always with a clear Muslim perspective brought in by the MoscheeForum. The aim is to shed light on complex topics in a differentiated way, going beyond buzzwords.

What is it all about?

The kick-off event "Fake, facts, facade - Who speaks for Muslims in Germany? What do they say themselves?" focuses on the public perception of religion and the role of Muslim actors in Germany. We will discuss who speaks about Muslims - and who speaks for them, which images and interpretations shape the debates and how constructive dialog can succeed. Impulses from academia and practice form the basis before we enter into discussion together.
