El Caribefunk Konzert im Artheater

In the organizer's words:

El Caribefunk combines Afro-Caribbean, cumbia, champeta and funk to create danceable songs with a positive message. Live, it becomes a joint celebration with lots of groove and closeness to the audience.

Founded by Funkcho Salas and Andrés Mordecai, El Caribefunk grew together in Buenos Aires and brought the Caribbean groove from Cartagena to the world. Albums such as El Playaman, El Caribefunk, Tunsé and Energía Para Regalar show their path from street music to full-on club shows. Energía Para Regalar was nominated at the Latin Grammys in 2020 in the Best Contemporary Tropical Fusion Album category. The new phase began in 2025 with the single La Receta as a harbinger of an upcoming album. They will be on tour in Europe this autumn, including Cologne on October 23, 2025 at the Artheater.

On stage, they mix percussion, guitar, voices and call and response to create a rousing show that quickly turns into a dance floor.
