ELFMORGEN und AWESOME SCAMPIS

Never being "in" means never being "out" - whether the three eternally young members of elfmorgen are the oldest newcomers in Germany, consistently ahead of or behind the trend with their "brute rock" songs or, as the oldest newcomer band, could conjure up a cultivated paralysis in the face of all jury members of German casting shows - it is honest music. Witty to ironic, packed into the dialog between the musicians, but also in direct interaction with their audience.

For over twenty years, elfmorgen's new German rock music has been shaking up every one of their events - there's hardly anyone who doesn't have to cull the debris of collapsed ideas about conventional music from their ears the next morning after one of their gigs so that they don't have to carry the sound of the three hostesses from East Hesse around with them forever. Pure German rock music, cemented as a milestone in the German cultural landscape long before the trend towards it, elfmorgen counteract any of their audience's conventional expectations of rock and live shows in the style of "anyone can do better".

Fred, Chris and Andy celebrate their "drpftlfm" (German, rock'n, punk'n, fun'n, traurig'n, lustig'n, freundschaft musik) as an intense hobby, instead of putting the noble goal of disdainful commercial success above the fun of their playing and the taste of the audience. elfmorgen moves from the ear directly into the leg and from there directly back again, always alternating between the perception of critical, humorous or biting lyrics. Being different from other bands has allowed the three musicians to mature into an institution in the regional and national music business.

The Awesome Scampis deliver celebratory ska and pop punk with horns and German lyrics. Earworm guarantee included. The eight likeable musicians from the Ruhrpott have been putting a big grin on the faces of audiences at every concert since the band was founded in 2005. Audiences and the press agree: the entertaining shows with a fat brass sound - consisting of trumpet, trombone and saxophone - are celebrated hard and promise a wonderful mixture of a colorful party on and in front of the stage. This band is simply fun.

Comparisons with bands like Sondaschule, Rantanplan or Farin Urlaub are very obvious.

With an incredible amount of energy and good humor, the Awesome Scampis deal with topics from everyday life, love and friendships in their lyrics - but serious topics such as depression or current political situations also find their way in. Always with a certain wink and self-irony. And above all: catchy, infectious and danceable.
