Emil Bach likes things to be tidy. But ever since he became a godfather, it's been snowing eraser crumbs in his house and his invisible lodger is eating his potato chips. He has to get out! And because the retreat didn't help, he's going on tour again - with his second solo program Feng Shui from the day before. The pianist with a doctorate in linguistics and no doctorate in piano remains true to his line: whether he is musing about waving bus drivers, singing about the eroticism of the back of the knee or watching the pirate stealing sea after sea - Emil Bach "provokes [...] in a subtle, enigmatic way, makes the most absurd connections and works with the element of surprise and paradox, is clearly ambiguous but not shocking" (Chamer Zeitung). Even his debut program Schöne Lieder, vol. 3 took the Westerwald native and Passauer by choice, who has been a member of the SAGO Song School since 2025, to renowned stages in Munich (Vereinsheim Schwabing, Seidlvilla), Cologne (Theater509), Berlin (Zimmer 16) and Weimar (monami), among others. But even in the so-called provinces, the word and sense acrobat picks up his ever-growing audience where they never wanted to go - with idiosyncratic piano accompaniments, a fine sense of language, twisted humor and songs whose unpredictable punchlines are guaranteed to leave a good aftertaste.
