On September 20, 2026, US guitarist Eric Steckel will be coming to Hamburg for a concert at the Nochtspeicher. The musician stands for a powerful blues rock sound that is consciously oriented towards the classic tradition of loudly played guitars and powerful amplifiers.

Steckel attracted attention early on. He recorded his first album live at the age of eleven, a little later he was on stage at the Sarasota Blues Festival and was introduced by blues legend John Mayall as the youngest guitarist ever to play with the Bluesbreakers. In the years that followed, he became a permanent fixture on the international blues rock scene and shared the stage with B.B. King, Ray Charles, Steve Vai, Gregg Allman and Johnny Winter, among others.

With several studio and live albums and tours in numerous countries, Eric Steckel has made a name for himself among fans of guitar-based rock music. He describes his mixture of blues, hard rock and modern influences as blues metal.
