How often has Orpheus enchanted us with his supernatural voice? However, it is not Orpheus, but Euridice - his great love, his muse and his greatest loss - who is the focus of this extraordinary concert evening. The famous Orfeo myth is retold - from the perspective of the woman whose voice has so often gone unheard in music.
With expressive music by Peri, Caccini and Strozzi, a rarely heard perspective full of emotion, drama and musical depth unfolds. An evening that sheds new light on the character of Euridice - sensual, sonorous and surprisingly feminine.
