The Hitler-Stalin Pact, which stood at the beginning of the Second World War and significantly influenced its course and memories of the war, remains a controversial chapter in 20th century European history to this day. Prof. Dr. Claudia Weber, historian of contemporary European history at the Viadrina, will give us an insight into the geopolitical history of its origins, the historical practice of the almost two-year alliance and the subsequent debates on remembrance in a panel discussion
