Moderated semester concert by the Jazz Choir of the University of Cologne under the direction of Julia Reckendrees.

Entitled "Everglow", the concert is about what remains: Encounters, relationships and moments that linger - even when they are over. Inspired by the Coldplay song, the concert is not just about saying goodbye, but above all about hope, humanity and the light that is created when people sing together and share music.

English and German titles alternate, inviting you to empathize, let go, celebrate or simply listen.

The jazz choir of the University of Cologne stands for modern choral music with a lot of heart, energy and passion.

As a student ensemble under the direction of Julia Reckendrees, the choir moves between jazz standards, strong pop songs and pieces at the interface of contemporary classical music and jazz. It is precisely this mix that characterizes the sound: modern, varied and full of emotion.

In their concerts, the choir brings well-known songs to the stage that people know and love - rethought, arranged for many voices and emotionally to the point. The repertoire is complemented by powerfully staged classics that make the ensemble's musical skills and high standards audible and tangible.

The goal is clear: goosebumps.
