She was the "spiritual leader" of Argentina, a "saint". Eva "Evita" Perón moved a lot and above all caused a sensation. But now she is dead: having died of cancer at the age of 33, Evita became a legend. The people are in deep mourning, and Che retrospectively tells her life story: how she ended up in the big city of Buenos Aires at the age of fifteen through a love affair with a tango singer, where she met important personalities and thus met Juan Perón. She helped him to the presidency and used her voice in the fight against poverty and for the Argentine people, until at some point her strength waned ...

The successful musical "Evita" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, which was first released as an album in 1976 and premiered in London two years later, inspires with its artistic and emotional portrayal of the biography, the spectacular rise and fall of María Eva Duarte de Perón (1919-1952): how the fighter from a small Argentinian village made it to the government palace, the Casa Rosada, and campaigned for workers' and women's rights.
