Explore Freedom - Nürnberg

In the organizer's words:

Six strangers, three routes, one goal - the documentary accompanies six different characters - including cycling greats such as former Tour de France pro Marcel Kittel and ultra-cycling athlete Sami Sauri - on a journey through Europe that goes far beyond traditional cycling.

"Explore Freedom" focuses on the themes of departure, self-discovery and the limits of personal freedom. Three teams of two set off from Sarajevo, St. Moritz and Bratislava without a fixed plan and without knowing each other beforehand. Their common destination: Pula in Croatia.

Prominent cast and cultural encounters

In the leading roles, viewers follow the "Balkan Express" team with Marcel Kittel and adventure newcomer Burak as well as the "Alpen Cross" team with ultra-athlete Sami Sauri and director Tsellot. At the same time, artist Sara and cycling enthusiast Petor started in the "No Borders" team.

The story leads through moments of chaos, separation and reunion. The focus is not on top athletic performance, but on cultural encounters, physical and mental challenges and the personal growth of the protagonists.

There will be a short panel discussion with the protagonists after the film.
