Ambivalence - embodying the space in between
AmbivalenZa is the second theme of our Expressive Arts Circle. Ambivalence is part of being human: an inner wavering, a simultaneous yes and no. Perhaps you know the feeling of seeking closeness and yet needing distance. Deciding - and hesitating at the same time. Whether in professional situations, relationships or future paths - your head, heart and gut sometimes seem to speak their own language and you stand in the middle of this polyphonic space. Like a Janus head, you look in two directions, as if two souls are living in your chest.
Ambivalence rarely feels comfortable. And it is precisely in this tension, in the simultaneity, that its core lies.
Possible questions:
What in me wants to leave, what wants to stay?
How can I find orientation in the turmoil?
What can I trust in?
What awaits you
In an initial encounter with well-known images from art, ambivalence can become a source of reflection. You will then have the opportunity to feel through embodiment. You will follow impulses and explore tension and direction. After the body-based practice, you will shape your process freely and creatively - with different materials, through painting, collage, intuitive design or writing. Afterwards, we look at the works together in the group. You let your experience resonate, in silent perception or in sharing. Perhaps it is precisely by pausing in this transitional space, in which time expands, that something can be sorted - experiences, values, inner voices - and decisions can mature.
This session invites you not to have to resolve ambivalence. No artistic experience is required - just curiosity and the joy of exploring the inner world.
Materials, tea and snacks are provided.
