It's actually just a formality: at the general meeting of a tennis club, one of the items to be voted on is the purchase of a new barbecue for the club's celebrations. Normally not a problem - if it weren't for the proposal to purchase a barbecue for the only Turkish member. A well-intentioned idea, but one that triggers huge discussions. Do you have to tolerate religious customs even if you reject them?

As members of the club, the viewers are directly involved in the action and experience how a society can completely disintegrate. And all this in a fast-paced, highly topical comedy directed by Renate Rochell.

The Tribüne e. V.

is the oldest amateur theater in Hanover. It was founded in 1965 as an unnamed amateur theater group. Its repertoire includes boulevard comedies, crime plays, comedies, classical dramas, psychological thrillers and one-act plays - from light entertainment to absurd theater.

The Tribüne is characterized by a tremendous passion for theater. The younger players learn from the "old hands" and they benefit from the fresh wind of the "newcomers". At over 55 years old, the Tribüne is a constantly renewing artistic family that continues to enjoy premiere fever. The ensemble has been rehearsing and performing at the hinterbuehne since 2018.
