Falaise | Ruhrtriennale 2025

Between horse, poetry and the moment before the overthrow.

Falaise is an impressive stage performance about people on the edge of their world. The French-Catalan collective Baro d'evel creates a black and white setting, raw and poetic at the same time - populated by eight performers, a white horse and a flock of pigeons.

Dance, acrobatics, music and absurdly comical moments interweave to create a sensual reflection on departure and new beginnings. What remains when everything collapses? And what exactly is created then? A play for adults - and for children aged 10 and over, which transforms the view of the end of the world into a beginning.

The Ruhrtriennale is the festival of the arts in the Ruhr region - a festival for everyone who longs for tomorrow. Touching experiences of music theater, drama, dance and more are created between machine halls and blast furnaces.
