Farben der Erde – Einführung in natürliche Pigmente

Understanding, producing and experiencing color as a material.

Would you like to understand where color actually comes from and how it has been produced for thousands of years? In this workshop, you will immerse yourself in the world of earth pigments and learn how color is created from natural materials.

Together we will explore different soils, their properties and color tones. You will work directly with the material: grinding, mixing and developing a feeling for consistency, density and effect. This is not just about knowledge, but about a direct experience of the material. Color is not only used here, but understood as something alive - as a substance that changes, reacts and brings its own presence.

The workshop creates a basis for the following course day, but can also be attended independently.

You will be accompanied by Emilia Anemone Houzer, artist and guest lecturer at the Alanus University for Embodiment and Intuitive Work with Earth.

Why take part? You will develop a deep understanding of natural pigments and experience color beyond industrial materials.

Who is it for?
For everyone aged 16 and over. The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced students.
