Determined to master the art of natural textiles,
Akihiko Izukura (1942-2023) retraced the endless tunnel of textile history and dedicated his life to exploring the "path of the thread".

This documentary follows the creation of a work that represents the culmination of this lifelong journey.
At the age of 78, Izukura embarks on an ambitious project: together with ten thousand silkworms, he creates a monumental silk ball.

The film not only documents the creative process, but also presents Izukura's impressive career and his philosophy to a new generation.
