The Kölner Spendenkonvoi e.V. invites you to a special film series: "Screen of Solidarity" focuses on stories about barely noticed humanitarian crises.
Each evening, the director is a personal guest in a moderated film discussion, which is intended to encourage a change of perspective. The series offers a rare opportunity to explore the human dimensions of need and solidarity through the art of film.

All proceeds from the entire film series will go directly to the protagonists of the film "Moria Six" to support them in their fight for justice.

On the first evening, November 10, 2025, we will be showing the documentary "No Country for Nobody - Sealing off an Immigration Country" by Maik Lüdemann and Max Ahrens. The film sheds light on the drastic consequences of the European isolationist policy and Germany's role in this paradigm shift. While Germany's asylum and migration policy is increasingly moving away from humanitarian principles, the situation at the EU's external borders is escalating. The documentary accompanies a rescue mission in the Mediterranean, shows the catastrophic conditions in camps and gives a voice to people who have survived the life-threatening journey to Europe. At the same time, the film takes a critical look at political and social developments in Germany, where a growing right-wing populism is shaping the discourse and refugees are increasingly being criminalized.

Director and cameraman MaikLüdemann will be our guest this evening. After the screening, he will talk about the making of the film and the political and social dynamics behind the shift to the right in a moderated discussion.
